School Visit

118th Street School Visitor Policy

Per LAUSD guidelines, our school is a closed campus to ensure the safety of our students and staff.  Gates are locked by 8:10 a.m. each day and shall remain locked until the end of the day. 

• All visitors and volunteers must sign in at the front desk.
• All visitors must present a government issued photo identification card.
• All visitors must receive the principal/designee’s approval for the classroom visitation.
• All visitors  must obtain a Visitor Pass from the Main Office. 

Listed below are some guidelines to ensure an enjoyable and productive school visit.

• Classroom visits must be reasonable in both frequency and duration. 
• Visitors may not interfere with or disrupt the school or classroom activity.
• Audio or video recording is not permitted in the classroom.
• Visitors must enter and leave the classroom as quietly as possible.
• Visitors may not converse with students or staff during instructional time. 

Any individual who fails to follow the school rules/guidelines is subject to removal from the school site and further restricted from visiting the school.
